Abstrakt
Levamisole Hydrochloride is the hydrochloride salt of the synthetic imidazothiazole derivative levamisole with anthelminthic and immunomodulating activities. In immunosuppressed states, levamisole may restore immune function by: 1) stimulating antibody formation, 2) stimulating T-cell activation and proliferation, 3) potentiating monocyte and macrophage phagocytosis and chemotaxis and 4) increasing neutrophil mobility, adherence, and chemotaxis.
Verwendung:
Levamisole is also a good alternative in cases of benzimidazole resistance. Levamisolhydrochlorid (Levamisol-HCl), ist ein Anthelminthikum (animals roundworm, hookworm, usw.) Mittel, das üblicherweise bei Großvieh wie Rindern eingesetzt wird, Schweine und Schafe.
It can selectively inhibit succinate dehydrogenase in parasite’s muscle so as to stop the reduction of succinic acid from fumaric acid. Therefore the parasite’s muscle metabolism lacks of oxygen and leads to decreasing of energy.
